GPRS-MMS Setting in Win CE based handsets

(I-mate and HP)

Introduction

Our OTA module can find the make and model of user handset and send the notification for user with

related GPRS and MMS setting, via SMS. Subscriber can use the services after saving the configuration

SMS. As you know some handset are not supported by OTA, so these types of handset should be

configured manually; like I-mate and HP and most of the Windows CE based handsets. For using MMS,

first the GPRS should be set for these kinds of handsets.

Instructions

For the mentioned types, the following manual setting process should be taken:

GPRS setting:

• Go to "Start menu"

• Select "setting"

• On the blue bar (Located in the bottom of the page), select " connections"

• Go to "Connections"

• On "Manage existing connections"

• Go to General tab Enter a name for these setting: "Irancell-internet"

• Go to Modem tab select "new" (Located in the bottom of the page)

• Capture a name and select "Cellular Line (GPRS)" from drop down menu

• Go to Next

• Put "mtnirancell" as a access point name

• Go back to connection on My work network go to "Edit my proxy server"

• Choose the proxy settings from below bar and select" advance"

• Click on "HTTP" capture "10.131.26.138" on proxy server and "8080" as a port

• Click on "WAP" capture "10.131.26.138" on proxy server and"9201" as a port

• Now the setting is complete please go back to start menu and find internet explorer

MMS setting:

• Go to "start menu"

• Choose the "Messaging"

• Go to Menu (Located in the bottom of the page)

• Go to MMS Configuration

• Find the "Server"(Located in the bottom of the page)

• Select "New" and capture the below details

• Server Name: Irancell-MMS

• Gate way: http://10.131.26.138

• Port number: 8080

• Server address: http://mms:8002

• Connect via: Irancell-internet

• Sending size limitation: 250K

• WAP version: WAP 2.0
